Full-Time Systems Administrator

Position Details: Client : Leading Pharmaceutical client Duration : 12+ months (High Possibility of extension) Location : North Chicago, IL (60064) Job Title : Systems Administrator Notes – A Shift : 8 AM – 5 PM Job Responsibilities: Candidate must have in depth expertise in implementing Domino information technology products and related infrastructure (Domino/Lotus Notes Mail and Applications, SMTP Mail, LEI, Notes Connector, Sametime, Quickplace/Quickr). • Experience with Exchange/Outlook, Internet Mail Gateways, Fax Gateways, and Archiving solutions (Content Manager/Common Store) is also desirable. • The position requires an individual that is highly motivated, analytical, and technically competent and a team player. Candidate will be primarily responsible for executing Domino to Exchange user migrations. • Plan, test and implement new products and upgrades to existing messaging and collaboration infrastructure software across multiple platforms (Windows and iSeries OS/400). • This includes new software installs/upgrades and server renames/migrations. • Create and maintain documentation for new products and changes in business requirements and cross train the Operations support team. • Organize activities associated with infrastructure implementation projects including developing checklists for scheduled activities, managing schedule and resources, managing all required customer communications and verifying post implementation status. • Assist with code testing and execution of test scripts. • Understand and adhere to the infrastructure problem, change and infrastructure qualification process requirements and all standard operating procedures. • Provide expert level support for the global messaging and collaboration infrastructure issues. • Interact with internal and external global customers. • Work in a 24×7 on call rotation for global infrastructure support and participate in off hours system implementations. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. • At least three years of experience in systems support and working knowledge of specific technology to be administered. • Familiarity with multi-platform environments. Understanding of security systems.
